Daytona Beach

On Wednesday we went to the beach. The nearest beaches were about an hour out of Orlando. We picked Daytona Beach because you can actually park your car ON the beach. Woo hoo...easy parking! It was not the greatest beach I have ever been to, but that's ok. And, of course, we picked the coolest day of the week to go. But that was ok too. It was pretty warm when I was laying down. When we got there, David and Travis headed out to swim (and ran into a real life sting ray while they were out there!), and Gina and I took a nap!

When we woke up, Gina and I drove down as far as we could, then walked to the boardwalk to see what was there...not much. But it was warmer farther down the beach, and a nice walk. David and Travis stayed behind and played frisbee.

We got back to the hotel just in time to see the sunset from our balcony, then we went downstairs and ate sushi...yum!
We had a California Roll, a Spider roll and a Dancing Eel roll.
I don't remember what Gina's were called, but one of them had gator in it! We didn't see any alligator's in Florida...but we ate one!

Epcot Center

Sunday we went to Epcot Center. Gina and Travis were supposed to get there Sat. night like we did, but they had a lot of flight troubles and didn't end up getting there until Sunday evening. So we killed time until they got there at Epcot. It was the last day of the flower and garden festival, which I really wanted to see. It was perfect for an afternoon...we visited all the around the world pavilions and got our Disney fix with all the topiaries.

Fish & Chips in the United Kingdom (David was disappointed...the vinegar just wasn't up to par :)

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!!

We didn't go to Harry Potter World first, but I want to post about it first! There are 4 days worth of pictures all mixed in here. I took some of them, Gina took some of them, but I'm not sure whose are whose anymore (sorry Gina if you don't get proper credit on your pictures!)
What can I say? It was amazing...I was in heaven. I loved EVERY part of it! There was so much attention to detail everywhere. The rides were fun...the lines were more fun! Even the bathroom was fun...I'm not kidding. And I have to say, not taking my kids was one of the smartest things I've ever done! Someday though, hopefully we can go back and take them. Anyway...PICTURES!

Butterbeer! Yum!!

The Three Broomsticks

The post office (which was connected to Ollivander's and Dervish and Banges) was one of my favorite places...I loved the wands piled up in the windows, the owls in the rafters (inside and out) and all the packages wrapped in brown paper just waiting to be flown somewhere...*happy sigh*
Inside Hogwarts
Some of the portraits even moved and talked. It was amazing.

Just a few more fun things...
The mandrake...he was even noisy!
More vacation pictures coming soon...if you can stand anymore! ;)
