Hope found the little kitties to be pretty terrifying creatures.  But not quite so much when she was 5 feet above them!

Foster Update

We said goodbye to them after 6 weeks, and we were so sad to see them go! But were happy that they were all quickly adopted!

Christmas Morning

We all had a great Christmas morning!

The kids got homemade snuggies for Christmas. I was hoping that if the blankets were attached to them somehow, they might not get left all over the living room floor. So far that has not been too successful. But they like them anyway!
Hope got a Christmas present too!

Apple Turkeys

I loved making these when I was a kid, so we've done it a couple of times with the kids. They're so cute...and yummy!
Preston made a warrior to go along with his turkey...it's hard to see but it's holding a tiny toothpick spear (to try) to kill the turkey with!

Foster Babies

I decided to become a foster parent for the Humane Society! I'd been thinking about it for awhile, but the three hour orientation was daunting me. Then Kathie decided she wanted to do it too, so we went together. Two days later (the day before Thanksgiving...same day I brought Hope home last year, coincidentally) they called and had three kittens for me to foster. It's the perfect arrangement...I get to do something nice...and I get kitties!! We got them the same day I took Spencer and Preston to see Harry Potter, and since it was 2 boys and a girl we named them Harry, Ron and Hermione. The kids have been REALLY good with them, and so excited to have kittens. And they know they're not staying forever. It's been a lot of work, but a lot of fun. And more cuteness then anyone can handle!
